KEN WRIGHT
FOUNDER OF INAIR TECHNOLOGY &
DIRECTOR OF PRODUCT DEVELOPMENT, AIRDRIVES
Ken Wright, an accomplished inventor and visionary with a true passion for product development and industrial design, is the original founder and innovator of InAir Technology, the power behind the new AirDrives™ brand. Ken’s outdoor-enthusiast lifestyle, love of music, and concern about the safety and long-term health of his daughter’s ears led him on a personal quest to create a technology that would allow users to enjoy music in a safer and more comfortable way. His patent-pending development of AirDrives™ earphones provides consumers with an entirely unique way to enjoy music while interacting socially and participating in everyday activities. In his current role as AirDrives’ director of product development, Ken is responsible for innovating and driving the continued development of the AirDrives™ product line and spearheading the design for future technologies that will revolutionize the way people experience music.
Prior to turning his InAir Technology vision into reality, Ken successfully invented and contributed to countless technologies that have changed the ways numerous industries do business. Ken has pioneered breakthrough technologies and award-winning product designs in industries ranging from automotive and aerospace to telecommunications and healthcare. Among his most noteworthy projects, Ken designed and developed technical systems for the movie “Titanic” for 20th Century Fox, and co-engineered an underwater laser scanning exploration system to find Amelia Earhart’s airplane. He also masterminded such inventions as the first portable zinc-air fuel cell, the first full-motion teleconferencing system, and the first mobile satellite news vehicles. His “Edison” approach to code breaking and problem solving has made Ken an invaluable resource to companies including Cannon, AquaLung and NiteRider Technical Lighting Systems. In addition, his technical expertise and business acumen has earned him numerous high profile clients and projects over the years, including Lucas Films, Paramount Pictures, Ford Motor Company and Disney.
Ken is a native of Southern California, but a love of travel has taken him around the globe to places such as Asia, New Zealand and Europe. When he is not dreaming up his next project in his home lab, he enjoys cycling, hiking and spending time with his wife Janice and daughter Anna.
